Your Favourite Blend, But Make it Iced.

Quick disclaimer before we dive in: this is not about our Iced Tea. This is about turning your favourite loose leaf blends into a proper iced tea, brewed, mixed, and served over ice. Grab a jug, get scooping, and read on.

English Breakfast On Ice.

There's nothing like a proper cup of English Breakfast made with 100% rolled whole leaves. But when hot weather comes knocking, and you don't want to leave your favourite blend behind, give English Breakfast on ice a go. This classic recipe is a perfect all rounder.

We’re massive fans of English Breakfast - you might have already figured that out. Usually, we’d say keep it simple, a good 3-5 minute brew in boiling water is perfect, with or without milk. But what about when the mercury creeps over the 21C mark, and your warming mug of breakfast tea loses out to something a little more refreshing?

ENGLISH BREAKFAST ON ICE IS YOUR ANSWER.

Making English Breakfast On Ice

1  No kettle needed for this one. Just pop 4 scoops of Loose Leaf English Breakfast in 800ml cold water.
2  Stick in the fridge for at least 12 hours, then strain.
3  Mix in a good tbsp of honey and the juice of a lemon.

SPICE IT UP
Add 100ml of gin. We reckon a good London Dry Gin is best, you don’t want to go overboard on the botanicals with this one.

4  Top it all off with ice and a slice. Classically refreshing!

This stuff will keep in the fridge for about 3 days. Perfect for a long, lazy weekend.

Fruit Punch Punch.

You can make cold brew from any of our blends, even the herbal ones - hurrah! If you're partial to a hot cup of fruit punch, why not try cold brewing this blend? You have to brew the fruity blends hot first, because of the possible bacteria in the dried fruit, it's always good to be on the safe side.

If you want a cold brew with a strong berry smell with some much-needed tang, this is the recipe for you.

This recipe is perfect if you’ve woken up to a scorcher and you’re now hosting an impromptu garden party. With non-teas {aka - your herbal infusions}, you need your usual boiling water to kick it all off.

NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR COLD BREWING? NO PROBLEM.

Fruit Punch Punch

Pop 2 scoops of Loose Leaf Fruit Punch in 800ml of freshly boiled water.

2 If you've got one of our Tea Pot for Two, then you'll be good to go, add the tea into there and brew, if not, no problem - strain into a jug.

Brew for 7 minutes, then once it's cooled off a little, pop it in the fridge until it's icy cold.

4 Pour out straight into your desired cup and either drink straight away or get creative. Mix in the juice of one lemon and one orange or if you’re after a super-sweet brew, you can add some sugar or simple syrup, but you’ll be fine without.

SPICE IT UP
Add 100ml of Vodka and 50ml of gin. Yes, this one really packs a punch.

Serve in a tall glass (the more exotic looking the better) over loads of ice and as many summer fruits as you can find. Nice.
