The inside scoop

Brewing tea should be simple and satisfying - so we redesigned the teapot from scratch. No mess, no faff, no need for a strainer (or doilies). Just loads of room for the leaves to release their flavour.
The inside scoop

The stainless steel strainer gives the rolled whole leaves more space to absorb more water, giving you a tastier cup of tea. It's also much easier to remove and clean than a basket.

The pot base is made from borosilicate glass so it's tough, retains heat and you can see exactly what's going on inside. It holds 400ml of water.

The silicone ring and dot help protect your fingers whilst adding a splash of colour to your brewtime - pick a colour that matches your flair, favourite blend, or other kit.

    Faff free as described

Firstly, this comes in a really nice cylindrical cardboard pack, which I've kept.

Obviously being able to watch the leaves brewing is awesome.

It is definitely way easier to clean than a basket strainer - i.e. no endless scraping. My tip for cleaning the lid is to turn it upside down, fill it with water under the table whilst gently swirling it, then just flip it over into your sieve. Doing that once or twice is usually enough. Remember if you're refilling the pot with the same tea as the last cup, it's not essential to get rid of every last leaf anyway. If you use a bergamot oil-based tea rather than black tea, you'll need to clean more thoroughly to remove the lingering smell/taste.

The main glass section is incredibly easy to swirl out as per Brew's description.

My other tip would be to pour very slowly, i.e. barely horizontally, because the slower you pour, the fewer leaves go to into the top of the pot.

It does look really nice. I wash up by hand and just make a slight extra effort to be gentle with it.

Use a toothbrush-style washing up brush to reduce the tea stains around the bottom of the lid.

The seal around the lid is very secure, it doesn't leak.

You don't have to drink 400ml at a time, I often measure out half the volume of leaves and use 200ml for a single cup. If you're filling a pot and pouring a couple of ~200ml cups, the second cup will be stronger.

    Hi William,

Thank you for the great feedback - Faff free is our mantra!

We all use these tea pots in the office and your tip for cleaning the filter lid is spot.
