This recipe is spot on for those with a sweet tooth. With a mix of vanilla ice cream, fresh and thick milk, homemade Chai syrup and a light dusting of cinnamon, it’s the perfect combination for a refreshingly autumnal milkshake.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
For the Vanilla Chai Syrup {Makes 400ml of syrup}:
- 20g of Chai Loose Leaf Tea;
- 2tsp of vanilla extract;
- 400ml filtered water;
- 300g brown sugar.
TO MAKE ONE DELICIOUS CHAI MILKSHAKE:
- 3 scoops vanilla ice cream;
- 200ml milk;
- 1tbsp of Chai syrup {if you’ve got a super sweet tooth, go ahead and add 2tbsp};
- Cinnamon to garnish.
- Bring all of the Vanilla Chai Syrup ingredients to the boil in a pan and then simmer for 10 minutes.
- Once all ingredients have simmered, let them cool a tad before straining the leaves.
- Put your syrup into the fridge to chill for a couple of hours - hold tight, it’s worth the wait!
- Grab a blender, bob all of your milkshake ingredients in and add your syrup.
- Blend away for a few moments until it’s silky smooth.
- Taste test, garnish with a dusting of cinnamon and enjoy!
