The Inside Scoop

Brewing tea should be simple and satisfying - so we redesigned the teapot from scratch. No mess, no faff, no need for a strainer (or doilies). Just loads of room for the leaves to release their flavour.
The Inside Scoop

The stainless steel strainer gives the rolled whole leaves more space to absorb more water, giving you a tastier cup of tea. It's also much easier to remove and clean than a basket.

The pot base is made from borosilicate glass so it's tough, retains heat and you can see exactly what's going on inside. It holds 800ml of water.

The silicone ring and dot help protect your fingers whilst adding a splash of colour to your brewtime - pick a colour that matches your flair, favourite blend, or other kit.

    Teapot is the best

Have numerous other teapots, but this one is the go to. Easy to brew and clean. No more faffing about trying to get those leaves out of the pot and into the food waste.

    Best Teapot ever

Love it, brought as I already have the smaller one. The bigger one is just as good. Keeps tea nice and hot. Easy to use and clean .

    Two big flaws

I really want to love these kitschy “teapot for 1 or 2” setups that Brew makes, but the company has overlooked some significant flaws.

The biggest issue with both the single and two-cup teapots is that once the tea has brewed, there’s nowhere to remove or separate the leaves. The tea keeps steeping as you pour your first cup, turning bitter and over-brewed. A simple way to lift out or isolate the leaves would make a huge difference- or the design needs a complete rethink.

The second flaw is the extra cleanup. Compared to a simple tea ball sieve that you can empty and rinse in seconds, these pots create unnecessary washing up.

I received a newsletter saying you could get one of these teapots with an £80 order, so I decided to take another look. Surely the larger pot wouldn’t have the same issue as the smaller one? But it does.

I love this company and their tea is my go-to, but I really wish the pots were up to standard and didn’t ruin the brew. I remember having the same reaction a year ago when I was served the single pot in a café; one lovely full cup and then half a cup of bitter, over-steeped tea that I couldn’t finish.
