Twisted Vanilla Ice.

Ice, ice baby.

Whilst we’re doing our bit to make the idea of iced tea more of a thing this side of the pond, this recipe is an affectionate nod to our Transatlantic cousins. And yes, we remain affectionate despite the fact that a lot of them think that the stuff we use in our tea pots every day of the year should be prefixed with “hot” in order to make sense. Or that some of think that presenting the water and tea separately is how tea should be served. Or that they don’t have kettles. And that a small out-of-control minority of them apparently put tea in the microwave…. Ok, perhaps we should stop thinking about how Americans drink tea before our affectionate gesture is less ‘special relationship’, more ‘particular set of skills’…

Take our Twisted Vanilla Breakfast Tea and give that vanilla just a little more emphasis, sweeten it however you like (though we promise you, a dash of maple syrup really is the ticket) and pour over iced milk. Serve & savour. It’ll have you humming Tutti Frutti in no time.
