Yellow Speckled Brewing Set

First off, I want to say thank you- I was able to gift this kit to me using saved up Brew Tokens. The tea subscription is value for money on its own, but you give us rewards on top of great tea. So, what I'm about to say might be a little like checking the teeth of a gift horse....

Ooh, I thought, ceramic teapot, that's great, it might hold the heat longer than my glass ones...and matchy-matchy mug, with a fun colour inversion. Let's get the kit, and call it a Christmas present to me...

And it IS a good bit of kit, makes a decent cuppa, looks very swish...

However, it's not my new instant favourite that I reach for, because;

- it turns out that I really like to be able to see the tea leaves brewing until it reaches my perfect colour, and lifting a pot lid is Not The Same; it doesn't hold the heat any longer than the glass pot I have, either;

-the mug does look great, but the build is different to my old (old!) originals, plus the lip is fractionally thicker, and shinier to boot..call it a neurodiverse specificity, but I prefer the weight, balance and comfort of my original yellow mug.

So I am downgrading the set from 'indispensable daily personal kit' to 'posh set for visitors'... which is still a win, it will be used. So, cheers 🙂 Hurrah for tokens!
