Put off by bitter green tea? Us too. Our loose leaf Green Tea made with rich Yunnan leaves is a subtle and savoury blend. Loads of flavour and minimal bitterness. It's gentle, grassy & smooth.
Grassy & Hoppy
Try our Yunnan Green with goat’s cheese – the creamier, the better. It really brings out the grassy notes.

How To Brew

How to Brew

1 Scoop
85° Boiling Water
3-4 Minutes
The key to brewing loose leaf green tea is in the water temperature. Too cool and it'll under brew. But pour boiling water straight on and you risk a bitter cup. 80-85 degrees is perfect.

Brewing Tip

Keep it simple. Add a quarter cold water to your teapot first and then top up with boiling water.

    Refreshing

Refreshing herbal essences with a little gentle tannin to give enough of an edge to let you know it really is tea.

    Yunnan Green Tea

This is very light – a good thing, it genuinely doesn't have that bitter taste you get with teabags.

I usually only brew it for 3 minutes - the colour is really nice in the pot and in the cup.

A trick I read somewhere is that, if your water is too hot, pouring it into and out of another container first will immediately take a few degrees off – I use a measuring jug to get the correct quantity in the first place, so I just pour it into that again then into the pot.

Remember that green tea does still have some caffeine…

Its lovely to hear you have been enjoying the Yunnan Green William! That beautiful light colour and smooth taste without any of that harsh bitterness is exactly what you want with Green tea.

I'm liking the little trick as well! The temperature is super important to getting a good brew from the tea, and it really does affect the overall taste. It's great that you found the perfect way to achieve that :)

    Enjoy

A delightfully refreshing cup of tea

I’m no tea expert but I have turned to green tea during the summer heatwave as a lighter alternative to my regular assam. And I have not been disappointed. It has provided me with a refreshing alternative. I have tried green tea in bag form in the past and never got on with it but this tea has really hit the spot. It has encouraged me to change my routine and to get a bit more experimental. Give it a go you might be pleasantly surprised.

What an amazing discovery Roger! There's something quite special about finding that perfect summer tea, especially when it changes your whole perspective on green tea as well :)

Sometimes being experimental and trying new things really does lead you to finding new favourites to enjoy.

    Happy brewing
