A strong, traditional cup that's as bold in flavour as it is in colour. Our Assam tea is the main part of our English Breakfast and the tea in our Chai. Punchy, nutty, malty and strong. There's a reason it's one of our best sellers.
Bold & Rich
Assam's perfect with well-toasted, buttered bread and a little honey. The ultimate breakfast.

How To Brew

How to Brew

1 Scoop
100° Boiling Water
3-5 Minutes
400ml is perfect for 5g of loose leaf tea. If you're using a tea bag, 300ml is bang on.

Brewing Tip

Your tea will start tasting bitter if it’s left to brew for too long so if you fancy a stronger cup, add some more tea leaves.

    A true taste of India

What a revelation the Assam from the Brew Tea Company is. A rich deep taste with every mouthful - brew for 5 minutes with a little milk and I feel like I’m transported to the Assam region itself. A highly indulgent tea which I tend to have as a start to a leisurely week-end breakfast. I love to watch the hue of the leaves as they unfurl in the clear tea pot (also from the Brew Tea Company). It’s quite mesmerising! For me the Assam is a top choice for the ultimate in tea and I’ve tasted none better than this one!

It's really great to hear you have been enjoying the Assam Stephen! It really does make for a strong and rich cup of tea. It sounds sounds like you've found the perfect brewing time too - 5 minutes really does bring out that deep flavour that makes Assam so special. So great to hear it's become your top choice, it's mine as well :)

    Loose leaf Assam

I usually buy English Breakfast Tea but I wanted to try something different.

I've bought Assam tea from other suppliers in the past (I know, why would I even?!) but I'm really pleased to have found a robust and flavourful one from Brew Tea Co.

I do drink it with milk, but that's optional. I brew it for 5 minutes so I get a nice strong cup of tea.

It's malty & nutty, and it's now my go-to alongside English Breakfast.

    I'd highly recommend trying it.

    Husband loves this tea

We’ve used the English Breakfast for a few years now but I bought a small tin of Assam out of curiosity. It’s just a little stronger and the husband just likes it that little bit more. So I get the English breakfast for me and the Assam for him. Bliss.
