A strong, traditional cup that's as bold in flavour as it is in colour. Our Assam tea is the main part of our English Breakfast and the tea in our Chai. Punchy, nutty, malty and strong. There's a reason it's one of our best sellers.
Bold & Rich
Assam's perfect with well-toasted, buttered bread and a little honey. The ultimate breakfast.

Brewing Tip

Your tea will start tasting bitter if it’s left to brew for too long so if you fancy a stronger cup, add some more tea leaves.

    A Good Strong Option

The Assam makes a nice simple and strong cup. I often have it after work when I'm looking for something that's a little stronger than the usual tea, but combines nicely with something sweet. Can't go wrong really.

    Balanced cup

I only really drink one or two cups of tea a day, and find most tea bag teas a bit one dimensional, so I thought I should give some time to brew properly in a pot with leaves.

My wife loves the Earl Grey so I thought I'd give the Assam and the English Breakfast ago.

The Assam is fuller, and maybe a little more "malty" than the English Breakfast tea, never tart or bitter, but just a little fuller...I'm really enjoying it.

I might make my own blend up by adding some Assam to the English Breakfast...to change the balance a little...

Tea like my mother used to make!

Another delicious tea to add to my collection. I like to alternate with breakfast tea or mix with a little Lapsang to ring the changes.

    Assam

This tea is strong yet so easy to drink - you don't get a dry mouth or tongue, it's not astringent, it's actually quite 'fresh' in a way.
