This is a tale of the practical versus the idealistic, the inner child versus the knowing adult. It’s a story of great expectations and crushing realism. It’s what happens when you try and incorporate a badminton court into a warehouse full of tea.
When we first moved into Tea HQ we had so much space to play with that we had grand designs for a badminton court to be placed in the warehouse. It was a pipedream, but as time went by it began to crystallise. The badminton court was creeping into conversations throughout Tea HQ.
But Weights and Measures isn’t some static entity, it’s been on a permanent growth spurt since we moved in. We could no longer build out, we had to build up. Pallet racking came and with it came reality.
No, we couldn’t have our badminton court. No, there wasn’t enough room. No, we couldn’t put some stock outside to make space.
Maybe we’ll get our way in Tea HQ Mk III. We’ll see.
