Last week was a big one for us. We launched our newest blend, Jasmine Green, and in doing so, we upped our arsenal of classics from eight to nine. You already know how to make a proper cup of tea, but do you know what it takes to make Green Tea awesome? Listen up folks.
IT'S TIME TO LEARN HOW.
A proper Green Tea starts with whole, rolled leaves. If you know us, this one's a given. Using the younger, whole leaves from the top of the plant gives you a fresh, rounded flavour that you just don't get with the dusty stuff.
You'd be surprised at how compromising people think Green Tea is. They hate the taste, but love its mythical health virtuosities. There's no need to follow up your afternoon cup with a water chaser if you get it right. We source leaves with an earthy, leafy and sweet flavour that you don't need to add half a jar of honey to - in other words, we make Green Tea awesome because it tastes so good. Not because Gillian Mckeith told us to.
The rest, as they say, is up to you. Green Tea needs to be treated a little differently than Black Tea - use cooler water and brew it for less time to keep your leaves in top brewing form. If you're stuck, don't worry. You'll always find proper brewing instructions on the back of our boxes. Phew.
